Truth

There was truth and there was untruth, and if you clung to the truth even against the whole world, you were not mad.

I'm Too Busy...

It’s Memorial Day.

The day we are supposed to thank those men and women brave enough to sacrifice their lives so that people like me can blog and willfully ignorant and arrogant Liberals can continue to lie.

I say, thank you.

We need more people like that.

But what we don’t need is more ignorance and political grandstanding.

But this the Obama Administration. What else could you expect.

President Obama has turned down Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer’s request to meet while she’s in Washington next week as tensions mount between his administration and Arizona over the state’s new law cracking down on illegal immigrants.

Brewer will be in Washington to meet with other governors. She said Friday that she had asked to meet with Obama and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to discuss border security and immigration. But Obama’s schedule “doesn’t allow for a meeting” with her, White House spokesman Adam Abrams said, adding that the president “does intend to sit down with the governor in the future.”

When Obama returns from his Chicago vacation on Tuesday, he will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Peru President Alan Garcia at the White House. On Wednesday, Obama is meeting with Gen. Ray Odierno, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, before heading to an event in Pittsburgh and hosting a concert at the White House to honor Paul McCartney.

On Thursday, Obama will speak at Secretary Clinton’s reception for a new partnership between U.S. and India. On Friday, the president will welcome the Major League Soccer men’s championship team, Real Salt Lake, to the White House.

I’m sorry, I can’t meet with you tonight, I have to get my hair done and play Beatles Rock Band with my kids.

The apparent snub comes after Justice Department officials told Arizona’s attorney general and aides to the governor Friday that the federal government has serious reservations about the state’s new immigration law. They responded that a lawsuit against the state isn’t the answer.

“I told them we need solutions from Washington, not more lawsuits,” said Attorney General Terry Goddard, a Democrat.

And Terry “The Tool” is against the law to begin with and was thrown off the legal team by Brewer. Well, it’s nearly impossible to believe Terry Goddard would have the balls to go against his Homo Sapien Liberalis kin and do his job properly.

But our Governor won’t get the light of day from the Liberal Political Elite.

Their too busy with their Agenda and their sanctimony.

But when a Terrorist comes across the border and kills people, they will have been their since “Day One”. Just watch for it! :)

But instead we get this kind of crap:

“The law signed by Brewer of Arizona is just like the German Nazi laws that make Jews scared to go out on the streets. We have to smash their business agreements in the nose. We have to declare war on Arizona.”
— Ricardo Rocha, journalist and TV presenter, said of the immigration law (TIME, April 28, 2010)

Teachable Moment:

A “Terry Stop” is a stop of a person by law enforcement officers based upon “reasonable suspicion” that a person may have been engaged in criminal activity, whereas an arrest requires “probable cause” that a suspect committed a criminal offense. The name comes from the standards established in a 1968 case, Terry v. Ohio.

The issue in the case was whether police should be able to detain a person and subject him to a limited search for weapons without probable cause for arrest. The Court held that police may conduct a limited search of a person for weapons that could endanger the officer or those nearby, even in the absence of probable cause for arrest and any weapons seized may be introduced in evidence.

When a police officer observes unusual conduct which leads him or her to reasonably suspect criminal activity may be occurring and that the persons with whom he is dealing may be armed and presently dangerous, the officer might approach and briefly detain the subjects for the purpose of conducting a limited investigation. The officer must identify himself or herself as a police officer and may make reasonable inquiries. If after initial investigation the officer still has a reasonable fear for the safety of himself and others, the officer may conduct a carefully limited search of the outer clothing in an attempt to discover weapons that might be used to assault him or her.

Oh no! Racial Profiling!! :(

And then there’s The Ministry of Truth:

“Day of outrage, anger on the streets of Phoenix and across this country tonight,” ABC anchor David Muir declared, pleading: “Will an army of protesters be heard?” Reporter Jeremy Hubbard began his story for World News: “In their most massive numbers yet, a deluge of adversaries rally and rail against what could soon be the law of the land in Arizona.”

Will the 7,000 a t Tempe Diablo Stadium in support of the law be noticed??

Will the LA Times wonder about a poll they did where they misstated the Law and still 50% of the people supported it!

From the Los Angeles Times: “50% of registered voters surveyed said they support the law, which compels police to check the immigration status of those they suspect are in the country illegally, while 43% oppose it… Strong majorities of white voters and those over 50 support the Arizona law, while Latinos and those under 30 are heavily opposed.”

Even though that misstates the law (see Terry Stop) the race baiters lost.

Whoops!

But will the Ministry of Truth Media notice?

Yeah, right…as if…

Liberals and the Open Borders crowd are too busy pushing their agenda to care what the truth really is.

They want to tell you what it is, for them.

And that’s enough.

IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH

FREEDOM IS SLAVERY

So here’s another one you won’t likely here much about:

ZAPATA, Texas (AP) – The waters of Falcon Lake normally beckon boaters with waterskiing and world-record bass fishing. But this holiday weekend, fishermen on the waters that straddle the U.S.-Mexico border are on the lookout for something more sinister: pirates.

Twice in recent weeks, fishermen have been robbed at gunpoint by marauders that the local sheriff says are “spillover” from fighting between rival Mexican drug gangs.

Boaters are concerned about their safety, and the president of the local Chamber of Commerce is trying to assure people that everything’s fine on the U.S. side of the lake.

At the fishing camp his family has owned for 50 years, Jack Cox now sleeps with a loaded shotgun at his feet and a handgun within reach.

In the American waters, Cox said, “you’re safer, but you’re not safe.” Mexican commercial fishermen regularly cross to set their nets illegally, why wouldn’t gunmen do the same? he asked.

Two weeks ago, the Texas Department of Public Safety warned boaters to avoid the international boundary that zig-zags through the lake, which is 25 miles long and 3 miles across at its widest point. Authorities also urged anyone on the water to notify relatives of their boating plans to aid law enforcement in case of trouble.

Since issuing the warning, most boats have stayed on the U.S. side.

“That’s a good indication. It means they’re getting the message,” Texas Parks and Wildlife Capt. Fernando Cervantes said Thursday as he patrolled with two other game wardens. “They’re still coming out, but they’re not going across.”

The border is marked by 14 partially submerged concrete towers that mark the Rio Grande’s path before the lake was created in 1954.

Rejoice, The Media is there to cover “The News”. :(

The Hit and Run Moralist

Yesterday, I was at the Phoenix Convention Center with thousand of other geeks and nerds having a good time celebrating what we all love, and even if we don’t know anything about it (Anime and Cosplay) we could all just have a good time in the company of others.
A few miles away were the hit-and-run “moralists” who want to preach about how much they hate us.
And how much we are bad people.
Well, I’m glad I was in a place where actually love and passion were celebrated instead of where passions dark side was on full display.
Well, when it was time to leave and all the little busy bodies, safe in their sanctimony had left, I got back to my car that was parked on the street.
And lo and Behold, the little “moralists” had spammed my car with their double-sided pontifications of superior “morality”.
It’s two pages of  bile, so I understand if at some point you bail out. But if you read the whole thing you will get a better sense of the nonsense that is faced by the rational people of this country.
Their text has not been altered in anyway. The snarky commentary is mine.
Titled: “Why is 1070B racist & who is promoting this as positive”
Nice Title. Very calm, rational, and willing to listen to all sides.
Line#1, Sentence #1: “Because it is fueled by hate and a desire to hurt people.”
Does any rational person need to even read anymore? I mean really?
“This bill has huge support of hate groups and hate group membership has grown as a result of this movement”.
That would be the 70% of Arizonans and the 60% of Americans who support SB1070, right?
So you’re all Racists! You all Haters! You’re all meeting in secret rooms to plot the pain, torture and destruction of Hispanics!
So you better clean that bed sheet!
“By the way, these hate groups are arming themselves with dangerous weapons.”
They would be the ones from the Mexican gangs, drug lords and cartels now would they?
And to finish out just the first paragraph of this little ditty, an overt threat, “I thing {sic} they failed to realize is that hispanics have a right to arm themselves, as well”
Probably with the same guns from the mexican gangs. :(
It get’s better, “This is about white republican Christians & Catholics preaching love and hope but practicing hate and fear”
The “arm ourselves” was not fear, mind you. When a liberal threatens you they do it with love and understanding, near fear and intimidation.
“Just Like the KKK and the Aryan Brotherhood”. Even Hitler and Saddam thought they were doing GOD’s will. They talk more about hell than heaven and prey on people’s fears”.
And these “moralists” of course are NOT playing on fear at all. Intimidation, no way.
Now comes an amusing point where the writer of this screed complains about stereotyping, but continues stereotyping themselves.
“The republican party has adopted this strategy of picking the worse {sic} hispanics and using it to label the entire hispanic community. Kind of  like picking a meth dealing user from a trailer park and then announcing that all whites are trailer park meth-dealing users as a whole.
“The true motive is to keep hispanics from voting because most hispanics vote democratic and the number of hispanics is growing. They want you to think they’re afraid of the illegals but in reality they are afraid of the legal hispanics who can vote.”
That would be why the Democrats, and many Republicans, want to pander to you. But it’s not the reason.
Oh, and Liberals NEVER EVER USE FEAR TACTICS!! :)
“These are the people who will lie, cheat and rob and will accuse you of lying, cheating and stealing in order to divert attention from themselves.”
Orwell would be proud of this “moralist”.
Since the chance is extremely likely that they never read the Law and never intend to because it would ruin their “moral” sanctimony I’d call their preaching a lie, wouldn’t you?
“How can you trust that law enforcement will ethically and morally use this new law properly when Arapaio is already abusing people’s rights without this law.”
The assumption is that all cops are out to get you. And if they stop you it’s not because you were violating the law, it’s because you’re hispanic. That’s it. Nothing more.
This kind of attitude led me to sarcastically proclaim on a message board some months ago that the solution to all of this “racial tension” was to pass a law saying that Hispanics cannot be prosecuted for any reason for anything. Period.
No matter what they do: Rape, Murder, drug dealing, jaywalking –it doesn’t matter.
That way, it can’t be racist and they can do whatever they want, whenever they want, because they want.
Utopia Awaits!  <>
Now back to reality.
“They did this to blacks, to the native americans, and now hispanics. This is the same group want to revert to old times == {sic} slavery and removal of women’s rights.”
But President Obama taking over industry after industry and taking over our lives bit by bit is ok. :)
At least he’s not a racist white christian republican!! :(
“They think they can only stay up by keep others down”
Remember, Liberals NEVER EVER USE FEAR TACTICS!! :)
Next will be blacks and native americans == {sic}… What? Again!! :)
“…the illegal alien argument is a cover for their hatred and bigotry.”
The writer’s obvious hatred and bigotry notwithstanding… :)
“Yes, they hate blacks even more. AZ was the last state to adopt the MLK holiday.”
Thanks to a DEMOCRAT Governor, the late Evan Mecham, who was later impeached for improper use of state money.
“Unpick a Niny” was a popular cry back then because this was a DEMOCRAT governor who referred to blacks as “picaninnys” and was generally a total embarrassment.
And the main man behind the Recall, a Gay man. :)
Bet the unnamed writer of this waste of a tree either didn’t know this or didn’t care. Or Both.
If they are locals they were probably the “mechamites” of the day.
“Hispanics and blacks need to register on time so that Jan Brewer & Russell Pearce don’t have an excuse to have them chasing ppwk {sic} in order to prevent them from voting or delaying their vote until after the elections are over. Don’t give in and let them violate your legal right to vote <>”
Gee, may it’s ACORN that wrote this, they are the experts in fraud after all.
But is when the real hate-fest begins!! :)
“Isn’t Russel Pearce the one who associates with JT ready the neo-nazi supporter.”
HUH??
But it’s nice to see it took nearly 3/4 of a page to get to that “N” word. :)
“Russell Pearce used to e-mail his friends Nazi National Alliance Material. Russell Pearce also appreciated “operation Wetback”. Russell Pearce is a racist who has used his position to put fear in republicans and az {sic} to pass his hatred through political manuevering:
But since it was a New Times blogger address it gives you a clue to the identity and the way out there nature of this writer. If you’re an insane leftist and make Hugo Chavez look like a mormon, The Phoenix New Times is for you!
Can’t you just feel the love!
Remember, Liberals NEVER EVER USE FEAR TACTICS!! :)
“How about Russell’s buddy Rusty Childress, Mr Kobach & does Mr. Pullen ring a bell? Mr Kobach (works for FAIR, a national hate group who believe blacks are “a retrograde species of humanity”)…
FYI: Rusty Childress is an Illegal Alien activist. Randy Pullen is the head of the AZ Republican Party.
Ah, more of that Liberal love, tolerance, and understanding!
Remember, Liberals NEVER EVER USE FEAR TACTICS!! :)
Do a google search for that phrase and the first thing that pops up is an “article” on Media Matters website. This would be the website run by the far-left to smear anyone and anything they dislike. They rest of the first page are also left-wing bloggers.
You’ll find the quote in this reference: “As Media Matters has noted, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), the CCC “has described blacks as ‘a retrograde species of humanity,’ compared singer Michael Jackson to an ape, and promoted neo-Nazi and Holocaust denial materials.” (2006)
So where is FAIR in this? (FAIR = Federation of American Immigration Reform)
It’s not, it’s just tarring that white trailer park meth dealer… :)
…helped draft SB1070, mentors Joe Arapaio and is leading the training of MCSO illegal alien identification program.
FYI: MCSO,  Maricopa County Sherriff’s Office.
It’s a Conspiracy of  HATE! AND FEAR! :)
Remember, Liberals NEVER EVER USE FEAR TACTICS!! :)And they don’t hate you because you’re different, they hate you because you’re not in lock-step with whatever they say. Period.
“The approval rating of this bill is high but why? The polls are, typically, wrong because mostly older conservatives who are bored have the time to complete these surveys.”
Now you’re a bored white trailer park meth dealer… :)
“Older conservatives who no one calls gladly complete the survey- they will talk to anyone who calls them”
Ah, Liberal contempt. It warms their hearts and their ‘superior morality’.
“Most working America {sic} is too busy to complete the survey.”
Yeah, because the Democrats keep wanting to “redistribute” my wealth that doesn’t exist but since I’m a white trailer park meth dealer I must be punished for my sins against even poorer people.
“This in actuality affects others thinking ‘I guess my voice does not count so I will side with them’ Your voice does count.”
Isn’t that what THIS writer wants to begin with?
Only, it’s ok for them, but not for us.
“There are lots of older people who live here and they will always vote republican and support the sherriff because they are living in fear and that’s what the republican party wants them to think. OMG {sic},the republican party, alone, can keep them safe.”
Remember, Liberals NEVER EVER USE FEAR TACTICS!! :)
“These are the same people who will never accept a black president”
Well, it took an entire page to get to this leftist talking point. :)
“They would rather have a terrible republican president (BUSH) than a good black president (OBAMA)”
How about a good president, period? :)
Nah…let’s continue with the race card.
“I’ve heard them say that the constitution should have included that “no niggers” can occupy the position of president”
Heresay from that white trailer park meth dealer no doubt!!
“It’s not about the birth certificate it is about hate and bigotry”
Lefist talk point #107: “Birthers”.
And what does any other this malarky have to do with Illegal Immigration, if I may ask from my porch of the trailer with loaded shotgun ready to get me a wetback or two??  :(  (that last bit was sarcasm for those who are liberally impaired)
“These are the same people who oppose interracial marriage but never admit it in public. They’ve been heard telling other whites to make sure they marry other whites only (in professional office environments)”
That would be the white trailer park meth dealers around the water cooler plotting the destruction of all non-whites, right?
Remember, Liberals NEVER EVER USE FEAR TACTICS!! :)
“They have gotten a lot of support because they’ve allowed extreme gun rights and are leading people to believe that they will legalize marijuana”
HUH? We are so far off course that even Amelia Earhardt would get lost on this one.
“This has created more support from young, independent and some democrat voters (child molester the lollipop scenario).”
So now the white trailer park meth dealer is handing out lollipop and marijuana to entice you into a world sin! :)
“This is a cover to get them to support their racist agenda. When is it right to hate hispanics and accept marijuana == {sic} it is a political blindfolding. Supports {sic} us on this and we’ll let you arm yourself and smoke pot (it doesn’t have to be said, that is how it appears from the outside looking in)”
Anyone dying for hit after trying to get your head around that babble? :)
“They call abortions murder but they don’t hesitate to destroy and separate  families to advance their political careers. They do this to make you think they are of high ethics and morals. Yet they will sell out to lobby representatives like whores for hire”
The Nebraska Kickback anyone? The  Louisiana Purchase?
“They are against gays and for family but most have been unfaithful to their spouses just not gotten caught (Or bet up their wife- Russell?). They push you against gays to make you think their ethics and morals are above yours.”
And this diatribe by you (the writer) is designed to do what exactly? Prove that you’re superior to the white trailer park meth pot lollipop dealer? :)
FYI: The charges of Russell Pearce beating his wife came from…<> a Phoenix New Times Blogger!
AZ Republic: 7/23/2008
The document is 28-years-old, but it raises a lot of questions about Republican Russell Pearce.
In a public document dated 1980 the state representative’s wife Luanne wants a divorce and goes on to claim Russell often beats her and shoves her. One incident in February details a clash at their former Mesa home where Luanne says Russell grabbed her by the throat and threw her down.
The sometimes controversial New Times weekly broke the story. They even posted the public document on their website. Since it is an election year we spoke to democrats who deny they had anything to do with the release of the document. Pearce’s republican opponent Kevin Gibbons did not answer calls.
Alinsky would be proud of you my son. Only, the mud didn’t stick. They are still happily married, by the way.
Two paragraphs to go. As Dr. Smith on “Lost in Space” would say, “oh the the pain…”
“So republicans complain about anchor babies and the costs. How about GE, how much money did they make and much in taxes did they pay (made lots of money and paid $0 in Us Taxes). Oh don’t go there because we get good lobby money from GE…”
So now we have the classic Liberal Class Warfare divide-and-conquer, Anti-corporate talking point!
At least point trying to point out errors in logic is like trying to count the stars in the sky one by one!
…republicans complain of the low paying jobs that americans are not willing to do at the wages the employers off.
Those greedy capitalist pigs!
Gee, I thought that was the democrats. And with 9.9% unemployment to boot!
“What about all the middle class jobs that the Bush administration outsourced to India and the Philipines {sic}. republicans complain about pennies while letting freinds steal millions from AMERICA in taxes and jobs.”
And when you point out that Bill Clinton signed NAFTA they will immediately switch to Bush Sr and CAFTA. I know I’ve tried.
Bush Derangement Syndrome is alive and spreading it’s “love”.
“lets compare apples to apples.”
This ought to get hilarious!
“Is it necessary fro white husbands to start disappearing, their wife’s not come home for white families to understand the separation & Destruction of families? Yes, this is race thing. Look at the protest and not a the ploys of justification”
Like this mess of a letter for instance. :)
“By enraging Hispanics, Mexicans, and Central Americans they are making them more susceptible to participate with America’s enemies.”
Seems the person inciting people here is you buddy. :)
But now, SB1070 is going to lead to home  grown radical hispanic terrorists! Beware! :(
Remember, Liberals NEVER EVER USE FEAR TACTICS!! :)
“Cuba, Venezuela and Al-Qaida countries will entice hispanics to join a venture that racism in America forced them into. Look at it from the outside looking in.”
Ok, well, let’s see, the great vast majority of terrorist attacks in this country (and around the world) are Islamic radicals.
But this administration can’t even utter that. So instead the next wave of terrorists will be Hispanics who convert Islam and become radicalized because of SB1070.
My head hurts.
“Hispanics are aware that in order to win a big war, the big war must be fought. Hispanics have a legal right to arm themselves just like they are a legal right to vote. The whole world is watching but most importantly GOD is, also…

“Jeremiah 9:24
but let him who boasts about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice, and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight” declares the Lord.
Lord have mercy I feel the light of truth coming my way after reading this!
No, sorry, that’s just a bullet train! :)
Jermiah 9:23
23Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:  24: but let him who boasts about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice, and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight” declares the Lord.
Just a little context for you. :)
And remember, early in this letter the write said of the supporters of SB 1070: “Just Like the KKK and the Aryan Brotherhood”. Even Hitler and Saddam thought they were doing GOD’s will. They talk more about hell than heaven and prey on people’s fears”.
And yet, the writer pulls out the God Card themselves.
Hmmmm….
And from one of the protesters:
Mireya Chavez Cerna, 43, an illegal immigrant who works as a maid, marched with her 9-year-old son, who was born in the United States and wore a shirt reading “Made in America.”
She denounced the climate of fear in the state and said immigrants like her could not abide the wait of a decade or more for a legal visa while their families grow hungry.
“Do you think we would risk losing our lives crossing the border if we didn’t have a need to come here for a better life?” she said. Supporters of the law “don’t know,” she added. “They don’t understand. They don’t live in Mexico. They don’t know how it is.”
So why don’t you stand up against that oppression?
Oh, right, they’ll just imprison you or kill you. Silly Me. :)
“The point was to be here for this march to show support for these folks, then we’re out,” said Jose Vargas, a union representative for New York City teachers. “We’re not spending a dime here.” (AP)
They reported rented a warehouse and had cots to sleep on because they didn’t want to spend any money in the racist hotels!
So who’s warehouse was it? :)
Hit and Run  Moralism at it’s finest!

It's a Rough Life

Reportedly, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napalitano spends lots of time at the Opera, in The President’s box. (WW)
It’s much better than reading The AZ immigration Law.
Or Securing the border AGAINST Illegal Aliens.
You just put out alerts that known islamic radical recruiters may try and cross the border.
Even when you can’t call them “radical islamists”, and barely utter the word “terrorist”.
And you aren’t planning on doing anything about it anyhow.
You give Obama the idea to make the same show piece “look ma, I’m doing something” move by sending 1,200 troops to sit around and do paperwork but make it look like your “securing” the border.
It worked, so you thought, when you were Governor. So why not do it again, but on a grander scale.
Kind of like the Opera.
After all, last year you said the terrorists you were worried about were “right wingers” and military people, OUR military people.
Who cares about actual terrorists.
Certainly not our Big Sis.

Then, the latest spin from the White House on the Joe Sestek case, that they took nearly 2 weeks after the primary (and 3 months after Sestak first said it) where he defeated Obama-backed Arlen Specter, to say that the offer they made to him which would have been a crime if it was quid pro quo goes like this, according to the White House…
Rahm “Never let a crisis go to waste” Emanuel, White House Chief of Staff, asked Bill Clinton to ask Joe Sestek if he’d be interested in an “non-compensated” Government promotion (of sorts).
And so, the report this morning that former President Bill Clinton was tasked by White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel to make such an approach to Rep. Joe Sestak — allegedly offering him an unpaid advisory role on an intelligence board in exchange for getting him to drop his primary bid against Sen. Arlen Specter (Pa.) — would not normally raise much of a stir in official Washington.
That the story has become a major controversy, a regular fixture on cable news chat shows and a momentum-killer for Sestak following his come-from behind victory against Specter in last week’s Pennsylvania primary is evidence of how the White House mishandled the controversy, according to conversations with several high-level Democratic strategists.
“How do you make something out of nothing?,” asked one such operative who was granted anonymity to speak candidly about the matter. “By acting guilty when you’re innocent.”
Another senior party official said that the White House “has a lot of egg on their face” and described the events as a “PR nightmare”.
So they couldn’t even handle this without screwing it up. And you want to trust The Supreme Court, Health Care, Congress, and the nations future to these nuckleheads?!
But you have to admire Obama for choosing Bill Clinton as the patsy. You have a President that was impeached (just not removed from office) for PERJURY as your star player!!
And, his biggest rival, Hillary, has another, “Oh, Bill…” moment to deal with.
Very savvy.
So I wonder what Bill Clinton got out of it?
So, no gentle readers, I don’t buy this lipstick on this pig.
If it was this ing simple and you could off-load it onto Bill Clinton why the hell did you wait so long?
Why all the stonewalling?
Repeatedly.
Because they were working on this “explanation”. They had to manufacture it.
It had to sound plausible so that even the Liberal Media that was hounding them would buy it.
That’s why.
Kind of like the Administration protestation that they were on the Oil Spill from “Day One” but never mentioned it until Day 8.
And Never, to this day, have even acknowledged the 500-year flood in Tennessee.
Other than knowing it’s where Al Gore was from, do they even know where it is?
And why was that not a crisis?
Nothing to exploit, apparently.
So will Bill Clinton be behind the Oil spill and the Birth Certifcate also?
Ah, shucks… :(
Allies of the White House argue that the Sestak situation was less PR blunder than conscious choice to accept some short term pain for long term gain (or at least less long term pain).
Their argument is that the White House could have pushed out an answer to the Sestak job controversy quickly but, in so doing, would have run the risk of not having all the facts of a relatively complex situation straight — making it a real possibility that they would be bludgeoned by the press if there was a mistake or inconsistency in the original statement.(Washington Post).
They had to get their story straight first, and hide the bodies and the evidence….:(
Kind like that fishy story of Obama going to see his “grandmother” very unexpectedly during the campaign when the Birth Certificate was a hot issue and then the Officials in Hawaii comes out says “there’s not thing see here!”
It’s smells rotten.
At Least Obama has one Clinton willing to throw down his “honor” for the cause though.
Hey Bill, Can I get you to….
Aw, Shucks, Barack… :(
Congressman Darell Issa (who has been pushing for a Special Investigator):
“The White House has offered a version of events that has important differences from what Congressman Sestak has been saying for months – that he was offered a ‘job’ by ’someone in the White House’ in exchange for leaving the Pennsylvania Senate race.
“I’m very concerned that…the White House has…worked to craft a story behind closed doors and coordinate with those involved.”
“The White House has admitted today to coordinating an arrangement that would represent an illegal quid-pro-quo as federal law prohibits directly or indirectly offering any position or appointment, paid or unpaid, in exchange for favors connected with an election.
“..Regardless of what President Clinton or Congressman Sestak now say, it is abundantly clear that this kind of conduct is contrary to President Obama’s pledge to change ‘business as usual’ and that his Administration has engaged in the kind of political shenanigans he once campaigned to end.”
Now, if only he could get BP, Illegal Aliens, and that “laser like focus on Jobs” to go away so he could enjoy his “vacation” in Chicago and then get back to taking over more industries and destroying more “greedy” capitalist!
Damn, he needs to play more Golf while Rome burns! :)

The Government Will Save You! Or Else...

Recommended Viewing: Gov. Christie of NJ gives a whining member of the teacher’s union a slap back. For once, someone who will stand toe to toe with liberals and push back!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuri7p_9pm4&feature=player_embedded
********************
Now on to the Financial “reform” bill being finalized in the Congress.
It’s supposed to protect you and me from “too big to fail”.
It’s supposed to protect the consumer against the greedy capitalist pigs called Banks.
Naturally, these are Liberals, so it doesn’t really do that at all.
Just like Health Care reform wasn’t really about Health care. It was about granting the government the power to decide who lives and who dies. Period.
Well, here’s the next nail in your coffin.
But, we are from the government and we are here to help you!
The bill authorizes the Secretary of the Treasury – a political appointee – to seize any financial company (bank or nonbank) simply because, in his opinion, it is too big to fail and in danger of insolvency.  This power can be used for political retribution, pressure for campaign funding, or any other abuse bureaucratic whim or partisan politics can conceive.  It is a power Fidel Castro or Hugo Chavez would love to have!
The legislation also requires that any business that extends credit, in any form, needs to clear the loan instrument in advance with the new consumer protection agency.  The backlog of pending applications will strangle consumer credit.
And the bill fails to do the one thing it must do — regulate derivatives and make them transparent.  Senator Chris Dodd (D Ct) bowed to pressure from his sponsors on Wall Street and deleted the regulatory provision and set up a commission to study the situation for two years!  Senator Maria Cantwell (D Wash) protested the cop out with a no vote against the legislation.
These would be the financial fake money traders who caused the problem in the first place when all the bad debts from the subprime mortgage debacle-in-waiting started and eventually crashed.
Curiously, this was championed by the same guy who also championed the Subprime Mortgage mess, Now-retiring Sen. Chris Dodd.
Coincidence I think not.

So how did it pass?  Four Republicans sold out, that´s how!  Among the RINOs were, of course, Susan Collins and Olympia Snow of Maine.  But, surprisingly, Scott Brown (R Mass), the newly elected Massachusetts Miracle defected as did the normally stalwart Chuck Grassley (R Iowa).

Now the federal government has effectively taken over about one third of our national economy by passing Obamacare and regulatory reform in almost the same breath.
But that is only part of the story. The bill gives the secretary of the treasury (appointed by the president) powers that are a dictator’s dream come true. He would have the power to seize any bank or financial institution if, in his opinion, it is in danger of insolvency. One can imagine the threats coming from the White House to those banks who failed to make campaign contributions or endorse the presidential agenda.

Then there are the implications for our individual lives. The bill, as we explained in a previous story, would give the feds the right to peer into our bank accounts . . . yours and mine. But also the banks would have to get permission from the government to make individual loans. This is not merely a bank getting general approval to make loans. It is banks going to the government for approval of each and every individual loan.
It might look like this. John Smith goes to First Bank of Elm Street and asks for a car loan. The bank then sends an application to the federal government asking for permission to loan Mr. Smith the money. The feds look at Mr. Smith’s bank statement and find that he contributed money to the president’s political opponent last election. Mr. Smith can forget about his car loan . . . or home loan . . . or financing a new pair of socks.
With possible implications also, according to Glenn Beck, that it will be the “fault” of the lender if the person who they loan the money to defaults.
So imagine this: Your a Bank. If you loan Mr. Smith money, for say a house, and he defaults. He can go to the Consumer advocacy bureaucrats and complain that his rate was too high or whatever and the government can just say,” Bank, you were too greedy” and that’s that.
Now if you were a bank, would you loan any Mr. Smith’s any money?
And the economy comes to a grinding halt.
But at least your safe from greedy capitalist pigs!!
The Financial Stability Oversight Council will be created and identify non-bank financial companies that “may pose risks to the financial stability of the United States in the event of their material financial distress or failure”
So if the government “deems” you too big a risk they can come in and break up your company, fire anyone they like and do what they deem necessary to “protect” you from these greedy capitalist pigs! :(
The Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection will be created — for you. They’ll be able to limit what financial products and services can be offered to consumers. And the bill mandates any financial institution that takes deposits, keep a record of the number and amount of those deposits and that customer addresses be “geo-coded for the collection of data regarding the census tracts of the residences or business locations of customers.” Geo-coded? Are they linking deposits to the Census Bureau?
They claim to be protecting you from “unfair and deceptive” practices. Unfair and deceptive are two words that are defined and often used in our laws, but there is another word they put in the bill: “abusive.” What does that even mean? No one really knows because it has not been used in this context before. Will its definition be up to the new super regulator who will be in charge of the agency? What is abusive? What if someone defaults on their loan or their house is foreclosed upon and they say “the interest rate is too high” or “I did not understand adjustable rate would adjust up” or “I am old, you should’ve explained it to me.”
Will the regulator decide the lender was abusive? It puts the pressure on the lender to not only offer full disclosure, but take full responsibility. Don’t worry if you can’t pay your loan, blame it on the abusive greedy bank.
Glenn Beck continues…
And here’s what is coming in the House’s financial bill:
First and foremost, it does nothing to address the problems with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Those two helped create the housing mess and then needed a $125 billion bailout, which they haven’t even scratched the surface on a payback.
It creates a special protected class of “too big to fail” firms. In section 113, a “Financial Stability Oversight Council” is established, which will choose the firms deemed too big to fail. Hmm, can you think of any other massive financial institutions that don’t care if they fail because they know they will be bailed out by the government? Fannie and Freddie. So not only is this bill not doing anything to stop Fannie and Freddie, as they continue to lose hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars, this bill will create more of them.
Provides for seizure of private property without meaningful judicial review. The secretary of the treasury can order the seizure of any financial firm that he finds “in danger of default.” Again, a bureaucrat arbitrarily getting to make the distinction to just take over a financial firm whenever they feel like it. And, once the decision is approved, it’s nearly impossible to reverse.
This Financial Stability Oversight Council, they’ve got nine regulatory authorities out there and this expands the reach outside of just financial firms. They can declare if a non-bank financial firm (insurance, finance companies, hedge funds) are “in trouble.” And guess what? They can turn it over to the treasury for regulation. Again, this distinction is completely arbitrary and comes from bureaucrats.
Opens a line of credit to the treasury for additional government funding. Guess who’s irrelevant? You are, Congress! No more begging those pesky politicians for billions of dollars, like with TARP. No, we’ll just skip that and tap the ATM.
Regulators can guarantee the debt of solvent banks as well. If there is a ‘liquidity crisis’ …
The bill creates a new “Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection.” They just want to “protect” consumers. Uh-huh. This bureau will have broad powers to limit what financial products and services can be offered to consumers.
It’s supposed to help, but it will only reduce choices and likely make credit more expensive and harder to get. It also allows them to track all of your financial transactions, just to “protect you.”
Non-financial firms would be subject to financial regulations. Listen to how broad this is: Section 102 defines a “non-bank financial company” as a company “substantially engaged in activities… that are financial in nature.” Aren’t all companies financial in nature? Sure, bakeries are making cupcakes and bread, but isn’t that financial in nature?
And they’re making sure this bill is jammed down America’s throat by, I’m not kidding, July 4th.
So here is the Frankendodd monster giving us our independence by chaining our children and our freedoms by snooping through our credit cards.
This fits the progressive agenda to a T: Power and control. These guys are power hungry. This financial bill is the biggest reform since FDR. We’re making the same mistakes we make in the 1930s, except the first time we made these mistakes, the American people didn’t know what progressives were really about and there was no global structure in place. When FDR died in office, we could still reverse many of the things he tried to do. But this time, we won’t be able to, because your representatives won’t have any control.
Again: “Governance is not government — it is the framework of rules, institutions and practices that set limits on behavior of individuals, organizations and companies.”
Again, I ask you to call your representative at the IMF and complain if you don’t like that fact that America spent $50 billion in tax money to bail out Greece. Call your representative at the U.N. and say you won’t vote for him next time. Contact the World Bank and let them know that you’ll close your bank account with them if you have to.
This is why all of this matters: You have no representation. It’s just the way the world is now. It’s a global community.
Another thing FDR did not have, but Woodrow Wilson did, was Cass Sunstein.
He’s the regulatory czar, the head of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs. He controls everything — he nudges you. He never tells you what to do — he nudges you. Remember “The Truman show”? Sunstein is the director up there in the control room. You still have his “freedoms.” Sunstein is just using a lot of “choice architecture” around you.
Cass Sunstein has wanted that job in the control room his whole life — his whole life! In 2008, on the campaign trail, he went on a date with his soon to be wife, Samantha Power. She asked him what his dream job was. She said, “I expected him to say he dreamed of playing for the Red Sox… his eyes got real big and he said, ‘Ooh! OIRA!’”
Most people will say what’s the big deal with that job? Here’s a guy who’s wanted this job. What kind of geek wants this job? Well, any geek who knows history knows that’s one of the most powerful jobs in the world. You are looking at the power of the Fed and more.
Oh, by the way, if this financial regulation bill passes, how much control does government have over the economy? Twenty percent? Forty-eight percent? No — 60 percent.
We are teetering on the brink of totalitarianism in the land of the free. Folks, write your congressmen while there is still time.
But at least the government is looking out for you! :(
*******
An analysis of government data by USA Today found that “paychecks from private business shrank to their smallest share of personal income in U.S. history during the first quarter of this year.”
That’s only part of this sad story: “At the same time, government-provided benefits — from Social Security, unemployment insurance, food stamps and other programs — rose to a record high during the first three months of 2010.”
If the share of private-sector pay is shrinking, income from government must necessarily be growing. Sure enough, during the first quarter, the federal government added 81,000 jobs while the private sector lost 4.71 million.
President Obama wants more. He’s asked federal agencies to accelerate and streamline hiring of federal workers at a time when laying off bureaucrats would be the far better course.
Even before Obama began to push federal hiring, working for Washington was a lucrative career choice. In 2008, the typical federal worker took home on average $67,691 in salary compared with $60,046 for the private sector.
During the first 18 months of the recession, USA Today reported in December, “Federal employees making salaries of $100,000 or more jumped from 14% to 19% of civil servants — and that’s before overtime pay and bonuses are counted.”
Government workers have also avoided the job losses we’ve seen in the private sector. Their unemployment rate from 2007 to 2010 has been 3%; the rate across private industry has been 7.9%.

And finally, this liberal ditty. Now keep in mind the Liberals have no problem with a 13-story Islamic mosque being built practically across the street from ground zero by a radical muslim cleric…
But they do object to…The American Flag!!
(But don’t expect the Ministry of truth to tell you this one.) :(
An Army veteran in Wisconsin will be allowed to display an American flag until Memorial Day, but the symbol honoring his service in Iraq and Kosovo must come down next Tuesday, his wife told FoxNews.com.
Dawn Price, 27, of Oshkosh, Wis., said she received a call from officials at Midwest Realty Management early Wednesday indicating that she and her husband, Charlie, would be allowed to continue flying the American flag they’ve had in their window for months through the holiday weekend. The couple had previously been told they had to remove the flag by Saturday or face eviction due to a company policy that bans the display of flags, banners and political or religious materials.
“It’s basically an extension so we can fly the flag on Memorial Day,” Price told FoxNews.com. “It does need to come down after that.”
Charlie Price, 28, served tours of duty as a combat engineer in Iraq and Kosovo, his wife said. To honor his eight years of service, she began decorating their apartment during Veterans Day in November. An American flag topped off the display, she said.
“I knew it made Charlie really proud to see that,” she said. “And this isn’t something new. This has been up for quite some time now.”
Veterans’ groups were furious at the realtors’ refusal to allow the flag to fly.
“As a veteran, it sickens me that the Dawn and Charlie Price’s building management company would imply that the American flag could be construed as offensive by their residents,” said Ryan Gallucci, a spokesman for AmVets.
“We’re talking about our most revered national symbol. This is insulting to anyone who has defended our flag honorably, like Charlie Price.”
Dawn Price said she now works to amend the federal Freedom to Display the American Flag Act of 2005, which states no “condominium association, cooperative association, or residential real estate management association” may stop someone from flying the American flag. The law, however, does not apply to renters.
“This has been eating at us since Friday,” she said. ‘The best way to fight this isn’t getting an eviction and going after these people in court. That’s just going to cost us a lot of time, energy and money.”
Instead, Dawn Price said she either intends to place a curtain between the flag and the apartment window to block it from onlookers or will move it to a rear balcony come next week.
“We don’t want to fight the eviction,” she said. “We know we’d lose.”
Officials at Midwest Realty Management, which manages Brookside Apartments, where the Prices live, did not return several messages seeking comment. In a statement to the Oshkosh Northwestern, company officials said the policy was established to provide a consistent living environment for all residents.
“This policy was developed to insure that we are fair to everyone as we have many residents from diverse backgrounds,” the statement read. “By having a blanket policy of neutrality we have found that we are less likely to offend anyone and the aesthetic qualities of our apartment communities are maintained.”
Despite the brief reprieve, Dawn Price said her husband is disappointed by the flag flap.
“He actually sees it as a slap in the face to his service,” she said. “He’s pretty upset about it, especially right around Memorial Day.”(FOX)

But the good news, if there is such a thing these days, there’s a Tea Party in San Francisco!!
No, the world did not end because of this fundamental contradiction.
But great “Unifier” can’t even win in San Francisco these days.

Of Ironies Lost

President Obama requests a meeting with Republicans.
They have a chin wag.
They talk about immigration, but there’s nothing agreed.
Just after the meeting, Obama puts out a press release saying he is going to send 1200 troops to the border.
He didn’t say anything about it in the meeting. He doesn’t say anything through official channels. He just throws it out there through a press release.
As if the meeting was  just a pretense and he sat in the meeting the whole time just getting his jollies off, “I’ve a got secret and boy wouldn’t you like to know, but I’m not telling!” <>

Then there’s this:
The Department of Homeland Security is alerting Texas authorities to be on the lookout for a suspected member of the Somalia-based Al Shabaab terrorist group who might be attempting to travel to the U.S. through Mexico, a security expert who has seen the memo tells FOXNews.com.
The warning follows an indictment unsealed this month in Texas federal court that accuses a Somali man in Texas of running a “large-scale smuggling enterprise” responsible for bringing hundreds of Somalis from Brazil through South America and eventually across the Mexican border. Many of the illegal immigrants, who court records say were given fake IDs, are alleged to have ties to other now-defunct Somalian terror organizations that have merged with active organizations like Al Shabaab, al-Barakat and Al-Ittihad Al-Islami.
In 2008, the U.S. government designated Al Shabaab a terrorist organization. Al Shabaab has said its priority is to impose Sharia, or Islamic law, on Somalia; the group has aligned itself with Al Qaeda and has made statements about its intent to harm the United States.
In recent years, American Somalis have been recruited by Al Shabaab to travel to Somalia, where they are often radicalized by more extremist or operational anti-American terror groups, which Al Shabaab supports. The recruiters coming through the Mexican border are the ones who could be the most dangerous, according to law enforcement officials.
Somalis are classified by border and immigration officials as “special interest” — illegal immigrants who get caught trying to cross the Mexican border into the U.S. who come from countries that are considered a high threat to the U.S., Neuhaus Schaan explained.
DHS did not respond to multiple e-mail and phone requests for comment.
In addition to the Somali immigration issue, Mexican smugglers are coaching some Middle Eastern immigrants before they cross the border – schooling them on how to dress and giving them phrases to help them look and sound like Latinos, law enforcement sources told FoxNews.com.
“There have been a number of certain communities that have noticed this, villages in northern Mexico where Middle Easterners try to move into town and learn Spanish,” Neuhaus Schaan said. “People were changing there names from Middle Eastern names to Hispanic names.”
Security experts say the push by illegal immigrants to try to fit in also could be the realization of what officials have feared for years: Latin American drug cartels are helping jihadist groups bring terrorists across the Mexican border.

J. Peter Pham, senior fellow and director of the Africa Project at the National Committee on American Foreign Policy, said that for the past ten years there’s been suspicion by U.S. law enforcement that drug cartels could align with international terrorist organizations to bring would-be-jihadists into the U.S.
That kind of collaboration is already being seen in Africa, said Dr. Walid Phares, director of the Future Terrorism Project at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies.
“Al Qaeda could easily say, “Ok, now we want your help getting these guys into the United States,” Phares said. “Eventually the federal government will pay more attention, but there is a window of time now where they can get anyone they want to get in already.”
Experts also say the DHS alert and recent court case highlights the threat of terrorists penetrating the Mexican/Texas border — and the growing threat of Somali recruitment efforts to bring Americans of Somali descent back to Somalia for jihadist training, creating homegrown terrorists.
Pham says the DHS alert comes too late. “They’re just covering themselves for the fact that DHS has been failing to date to deal effectively with this,” he said. “They’re already here.”

We’ll tell you to look out for terrorists coming into the country but we won’t secure the border!!

Instead, we’ll bash people who ARE trying to.

“It’s something that certainly has to be watched, but I don’t think it’s an imminent threat,” he said. “This has to be put in context with people smuggling — everybody and their brother is getting into the United States through Mexico; I read last week that some Chinese were crossing, it’s just a big market.”

We’ll call them “racists”, “nazi” and claim they violate “human rights” and have massive lying hate fests.
Oh, the Irony.
It will be lost on the Pro-Illegal Liberal crowd through.

And those 1,200 troops??
US National Guard troops being sent to the Mexican border will be used to stem the flow of guns and drugs across the frontier and not to enforce US immigration laws, the State Department said Wednesday.
The clarification came after the Mexican government urged Washington not to use the additional troops to go after illegal immigrants.
President Barack Obama on Tuesday authorized the deployment of up to 1,200 additional troops to border areas but State Department spokesman Philip Crowley told reporters, “It’s not about immigration.”
He said the move was “fully consistent with our efforts to do our part to stem, you know, violence, to interdict the flow of dangerous people and dangerous goods — drugs, guns, people.”
He said the extra troops would be used to free up civilians engaged in support functions so that law enforcement personnel can be increased along the 2,000-mile-long (3,200 kilometer) border.
I wonder if he got this idea from Big Sis, Janet Napalitano, after all when she was Governor here she sent National Guard troops to the border to look like she was doing something (and to poke Bush in the political eye) but they were there for “administrative” purposes and were actually unarmed!!
And the fact that Obama went around Congress straight to a press release is obviously a political eye poke in of itself.
Oh, Look he’s doing something!
He cares!
He hears you!
Hope and Change!
yes We Can
Si Se Puede! :)
When, the truth is, he’s just looking for political advantage.
Nothing else.
Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever, whose jurisdiction includes about 80 miles of the Arizona-Mexico border, said 1,200 soldiers might make a difference in a smaller portion of the border. “But if you spread it across the border, it’s like spitting into the wind,” Dever said.
Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard, a Democrat who has prosecuted rings of drug and immigrant smugglers, said the planned deployment was a good first step, but believes that the president’s plan should evolve to include more troops and more authority for the soldiers.
“I’ll take what we can get,” Goddard said. “Again, I don’t think this is the final response.”
But he’s been openly basing SB 1070!
Goddard said Tuesday that the bill “does nothing to improve border security or address the core issues of illegal immigration.” He also said it would “take law enforcement resources away from stopping more serious crimes.”
The irony…
Oh, and he’s running against Gov. Brewer for Governor. But I’m sure that has nothing to do with it! :)
And I’m sure the Ministry of Truth/Mainstream Media will gush all over Obama for his
compromise” with the racists!.
That is when they aren’t savaging him for the Oil Spill (which is hilarious in it’s own irony).
“In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person’s becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American…There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn’t an American at all…”

Dissing The Tomb

President Obama has decided that this Memorial Day weekend is much better spent with his marxist peeps in Chicago and doing a photo ops at cemetery in Illinois rather than the modern tradition of going to the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington Cemetery.
Well, Obama does have disdain for American traditions, after all.
Working hard to achieve success, rather than having it handed to you by the government from someone else’s labor, for instance.
Free enterprise, for another.
He has to takeover everything first.
And you can bash George W. Bush, even now for Katrina, but you can’t say boo about Obama and his passive aggressive disinterest in the biggest ecological disaster in this part of the planet.
Nope, can’t do it.
But what is funny, is that the Ministry of Truth/Mainstream media is starting to hammer him.
Even Mr. “tingle up my leg” Chris Matthews was heard to be criticizing his God.
Chris Matthews argued during a “Tonight Show” appearance that the President was “acting a little like a Vatican Observer.”
“The President scares me,” he said. “When is he actually going to do something? And I worry; I know he doesn’t want to take ownership of it. I know politics. He said the minute he says, ‘I’m in charge,’ he takes the blame, but somebody has to. It’s in our interest.”
Even super-lib mastermind James Carville is annoyed.
Democratic strategist James Carville and MSNBC anchor Chris Matthews, two reliable supporters of President Barack Obama, have issued withering critiques of the administration’s handling of the Gulf oil spill.
Carville, the famously outspoken Louisianian who was a chief political aide to Bill and Hillary Clinton, told CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Thursday that the administration’s response to the spill has been “lackadaisical” and that Obama was “naive” to trust BP to manage the massive clean-up effort.
“I think they actually believe that BP has some kind of a good motivation here,” he said. “They’re naive! BP is trying to save money, save everything they can… They won’t tell us anything, and oddly enough, the government seems to be going along with it! Somebody has got to, like shake them and say, ‘These people don’t wish you well! They’re going to take you down!’”
Carville also accused the White House of going along with what he called the “let BP handle it” strategy.
“I’m as good a Democrat as most people, and I think this administration has done some good things. They are risking everything by this ‘go along with BP’ strategy they have that seems like, lackadaisical on this, and Doug is right, they seem like they’re inconvenienced by this, this is some giant thing getting in their way and somehow or another, if you let BP handle it, it’ll all go away. It’s not going away. It’s growing out there. It is a disaster of the first magnitude, and they’ve got to go to Plan B.”
Imagine that.
***************
Now, on to the Pro-Illegal crowd being hoist by their own petard.
The City of Seattle voted sanctimoniously to join in on the hatefest directed at Arizona.
But then I saw this on a local Seattle TV Station’s Website:
EDMONDS, Wash. – The KING 5 Investigators have learned that an illegal immigrant accused of raping a woman in Edmonds Sunday has been deported nine times. That’s much more than previously reported.
Immigrations and Customs Enforcement won’t comment on the case of Jose Lopez Madrigal. But KING 5 got the information through confidential sources and documents.
Larry Klein was the man who heard the alleged victim’s cries for help. Police say the suspect pulled the woman off the street to a dumpster and raped her.
“I could see the back of his head. I could see his pants were down. I could see her lying on the ground. I could hear her crying, but I couldn’t really see her face,” said Klein.
Klein called police, who quickly arrested the suspect. But learning his identity took much longer because of some 30 aliases. It was only through fingerprints that they identified him as Madrigal, a Mexican citizen.
Madrigal’s arrest and immigration record includes a staggering number of contacts with law enforcement since 1989. That’s the year he was convicted of theft using a firearm in California.
He was deported a couple of times after that. Then in 1999, he was arrested for drug sales in both San Diego and San Francisco. Records show that he was deported three times that year between April and August.
He was arrested for drugs again in Stockton, Calif. in 2000. In 2002, he pleaded to third degree sexual assault in Denver. Later that year, he was deported again. And in 2003, records show he was deported three more times.
People who live near the scene of Sunday’s alleged rape wonder how it could keep happening.
“Makes you wonder, what are we doing wrong? How is he getting back in here?” said Kirby Aumick.
“It’s troubling. I mean, if this man should not have been in this country, he should have been behind bars then, really, this is a senseless tragedy,” said Klein.
According to our sources, Madrigal’s last contact before Sunday was around 2003. So, it’s not clear how much of that time Madrigal was in this country.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement has refused to comment on the case which started making national headlines when it was learned that Madrigal had been deported several times prior to the Edmonds case.
In reviewing records and talking with confidential sources, the KING 5 Investigators learned just how extensive Madrigal’s immigration and arrest record is.
They found he was first deported in California in 1989 and since then he’s returned from his Mexican homeland and been arrested for drug crimes, a sex assault in Colorado and other offenses.
One criminal justice source says Madrigal is a “poster boy” for the federal governments ineffectiveness at keeping the most serious “criminal aliens” – illegals who commit crimes – out of the  United States.
Do they honestly have no idea how he was deported 9 times and came back every time? Really? :(
I feel sorry for the victims, actually.
If the border had been secured to begin with, they wouldn’t be victims.
But don’t worry, the La Raza protests this weekend in Phoenix will get 1000 times more air play than this will.
*****
From the horrible to the ridiculous courtesy of the Washington Post:
The new Arizona law will intimidate crime victims and witnesses who are illegal immigrants and divert police from investigating more serious crimes, chiefs from Los Angeles, Houston and Philadelphia said. They will join their counterparts from Montgomery County and a half-dozen other U.S. cities in meeting Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. on Wednesday morning to discuss the measure.
Wonder if he’s read it yet? :(

“This is not a law that increases public safety. This is a bill that makes it much harder for us to do our jobs,” Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck said. “Crime will go up if this becomes law in Arizona or in any other state.”
The delegation, organized by the Police Executive Research Forum, an independent think tank in Washington, comes as 15 states are considering their own versions of the Arizona law. That statute defines illegal immigration as criminal trespassing and requires police to request documents of anyone they stop and have a “reasonable suspicion” is in the country illegally.
Several recent public opinion polls indicate that as many as 70 percent of Americans surveyed support such a police requirement.
******
And finally from USATODAY:
TULTITLN, Mexico — Arizona’s new law forcing local police to take a greater role in enforcing immigration law has caused a lot of criticism from Mexico, the largest single source of illegal immigrants in the United States.
But in Mexico, illegal immigrants receive terrible treatment from corrupt Mexican authorities, say people involved in the system.
And Mexico has a law that is no different from Arizona’s that empowers local police to check the immigration documents of people suspected of not being in the country legally.
“There (in the United States), they’ll deport you,” Hector Vázquez, an illegal immigrant from Honduras, said as he rested in a makeshift camp with other migrants under a highway bridge in Tultitlán. “In Mexico they’ll probably let you go, but they’ll beat you up and steal everything you’ve got first.”
Mexican authorities have harshly criticized Arizona’s SB1070, a law that requires local police to check the status of persons suspected of being illegal immigrants. The law provides that a check be done in connection with another law enforcement event, such as a traffic stop, and also permits Arizona citizens to file lawsuits against local authorities for not fully enforcing immigration laws.
Mexico’s Foreign Ministry said the law “violates inalienable human rights” and Democrats in Congress applauded Mexican President Felipe Calderón’s criticisms of the law in a speech he gave on Capitol Hill last week.
Yet Mexico’s Arizona-style law requires local police to check IDs. And Mexican police freely engage in racial profiling and routinely harass Central American migrants, say immigration activists.
“The Mexican government should probably clean up its own house before looking at someone else’s,” said Melissa Vertíz, spokeswoman for the Fray Matías de Córdova Human Rights Center in Tapachula, Mexico.
In one six-month period from September 2008 through February 2009, at least 9,758 migrants were kidnapped and held for ransom in Mexico — 91 of them with the direct participation of Mexican police, a report by the National Human Rights Commission said. Other migrants are routinely stopped and shaken down for bribes, it said.
A separate survey conducted during one month in 2008 at 10 migrant shelters showed Mexican authorities were behind migrant attacks in 35 of 240 cases, or 15%.
Most migrants in Mexico are Central Americans who are simply passing through on their way to the United States, human rights groups say. Others are Guatemalans who live and work along Mexico’s southern border, mainly as farm workers, as maids, or in bars and restaurants.
The Central American migrants headed to the United States travel mainly on freight trains, stopping to rest and beg for food at rail crossings like the one in Tultitlán, an industrial suburb of Mexico City.
On a recent afternoon, Victor Manuel Beltrán Rodríguez of Managua, Nicaragua, trudged between the cars at a stop light, his hand outstretched.
“Can you give me a peso? I’m from Nicaragua,” he said. Every 10 cars or so, a motorist would roll down the window and hand him a few coins. In a half-hour he had collected 10 pesos, about 80 U.S. cents, enough for a taco.
Beltrán Rodríguez had arrived in Mexico with 950 pesos, about $76, enough to last him to the U.S. border. But near Tierra Blanca, Veracruz, he says municipal police had detained him, driven him to a deserted road and taken his money. He had been surviving since then by begging.
Abuses by Mexican authorities have persisted even as Mexico has relaxed its rules against illegal immigrants in recent years, according to the National Human Rights Commission.
In 2008, Mexico softened the punishment for illegal immigrants, from a maximum 10 years in prison to a maximum fine of $461. Most detainees are taken to detention centers and put on buses for home.
Mexican law calls for six to 12 years of prison and up to $46,000 in fines for anyone who shelters or transports illegal immigrants. The Supreme Court ruled in 2008 that the law applies only to people who do it for money.
For years, the Mexican government has allowed charity groups to openly operate migrant shelters, where travelers can rest for a few days on their journey north. The government also has a special unit of immigration agents, known as Grupo Beta, who patrol the countryside in orange pickups, helping immigrants who are in trouble.
At the same time, Article 67 of Mexico’s immigration law requires that all authorities “whether federal, local or municipal” demand to see visas if approached by a foreigner and to hand over migrants to immigration authorities.
“In effect, this means that migrants who suffer crimes, including kidnapping, prefer not to report them to avoid … being detained by immigration authorities and returned to their country,” the National Human Rights Commission said in a report last year.
As a result, the clause has strengthened gangs who abuse migrants, rights activists say.
“That Article 67 is an obstacle that urgently has to be removed,” said Alberto Herrera, executive director of Amnesty International Mexico. “It has worsened this vicious cycle of abuse and impunity, and the same thing could happen (in Arizona).”
A bill passed by the Mexican Senate on Oct. 6 would eliminate the ID requirement in Article 67 and replace it with language saying “No attention in matters of human rights or the provision of justice shall be denied or restricted on any level (of government) to foreigners who require it, regardless of their migration status.”
The Mexican House of Representatives approved a similar measure on March 16, but added a clause requiring the government to set aside funds to take care of foreigners during times of disaster. The revised bill has been stuck in the Senate’s Population and Development Committee since then.
To discourage migrants from speaking out about abuse, Mexican authorities often tell detainees they will have to stay longer in detention centers if they file a complaint, Vertíz said.
A March 2007 order allows Mexican immigration agents to give “humanitarian visas” to migrants who have suffered crimes in Mexico. But the amnesty is not automatic, and most migrants don’t know to ask for it, the commission said.

Wonder if the Ministry of Truth will pick up on this, or will screaming La Raza maniacs dominate the news in the coming days.
Hmmm….You be the Judge.
The honor of the people who have died for this country is being dissed.
And the country divided for political advantage and done with such sanctimony and false morality.
We are the victims.
We need to stand up and be counted.

To Protect Your Own - Narcissism 101

You have to see this: Ray Stevens “Come to The USA” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgOHOHKBEqE
******
USATODAY:
Paychecks from private business shrank to their smallest share of personal income in U.S. history during the first quarter of this year, a USA TODAY analysis of government data finds.
At the same time, government-provided benefits — from Social Security, unemployment insurance, food stamps and other programs — rose to a record high during the first three months of 2010.
Those records reflect a long-term trend accelerated by the recession and the federal stimulus program to counteract the downturn. The result is a major shift in the source of personal income from private wages to government programs.
The trend is not sustainable, says University of Michigan economist Donald Grimes. Reason: The federal government depends on private wages to generate income taxes to pay for its ever-more-expensive programs. Government-generated income is taxed at lower rates or not at all, he says. “This is really important,” Grimes says.
The recession has erased 8 million private jobs. Even before the downturn, private wages were eroding because of the substitution of health and pension benefits for taxable salaries.
The Bureau of Economic Analysis reports that individuals received income from all sources — wages, investments, food stamps, etc. — at a $12.2 trillion annual rate in the first quarter.
Key shifts in income this year:
• Private wages. A record-low 41.9% of the nation’s personal income came from private wages and salaries in the first quarter, down from 44.6% when the recession began in December 2007.
Government benefits. Individuals got 17.9% of their income from government programs in the first quarter, up from 14.2% when the recession started. Programs for the elderly, the poor and the unemployed all grew in cost and importance. An additional 9.8% of personal income was paid as wages to government employees.
The shift in income shows that the federal government’s stimulus efforts have been effective, says Paul Van de Water, an economist at the liberal Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.
“It’s the system working as it should,” Van de Water says. Government is stimulating growth and helping people in need, he says. As the economy recovers, private wages will rebound, he says.
Economist Veronique de Rugy of the free-market Mercatus Center at George Mason University says the riots in Greece over cutting benefits to close a huge budget deficit are a warning about unsustainable income programs.
Economist David Henderson of the conservative Hoover Institution says a shift from private wages to government benefits saps the economy of dynamism. “People are paid for being rather than for producing,” he says.
So the majority of people’s wages and earnings come from the government.
47% of the people don’t even pay taxes (according to the IRS).
And governments don’t produce anything.
Governments have no money except what they take from you.
And now a majority of the American people are on the government dole.
So do you think they will vote to kiss their own butts or worry about their “grand children”??
Narcissism is a 21st Century epidemic.
What do you think? :(
Obama’s “laser beam focus” on jobs has produced what exactly?
Nothing.
The better question is, was it supposed to create anything, but smoke?
No.
SEIU, Service Workers International Union,  the largest Government Union of Government employees.
The same people who have been used as thugs and intimidators before by the LEFT.
On May 16, Washington, D.C., police escorted 14 busloads full of Service Employees International Union (SEIU) members at least part of the way to storm the Chevy Chase, Md., home of Bank of America’s deputy legal counsel, Greg Baer.
Some 500 protestors affiliated with SEIU and their allies in the community organizing group National Political Action (NPA) trampled his lawn, blocked his doorway to his home and screamed “greed.” Legally, it was burglary, trespassing and, possibly, assault.
But Maryland cops didn’t enforce the law. And Baer had to brave the insult-hurling mob alone to rescue his 14-year old son who, home alone, had locked himself in the bathroom in fear.
SEIU spokesman Stephen Lerner response was chilling: “People in powerful corporations seem to think they can insulate themselves from the damage they are doing,”
Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised. Aggressive, personalized protests have been a fact of life in the world of unions and community organizers influenced by the radical philosophy of Saul Alinsky.
But they’re now growing in frequency as SEIU officials top the White House visitors’ list and union influence grows.
It started in earnest last year, when SEIU thugs gave a “beat down” to a black trinket seller at a tea party protest — with no consequences.
It also was seen when the SEIU teamed up with its community-organizing ally Acorn to set up bus harassment tours of AIG executives’ homes during last year’s insurance bailout.
In recent weeks in New York and Washington, SEIU and NPA protestors invaded and shut down banks, frightening customers.
What’s important here is that these mobs act with near impunity and lash out at critics like Easton. What Stern calls “the persuasion of power” is identical to the violent means of maintaining political order in Cuba and Venezuela.
It’s going full blast in the U.S. now as the party in power loses popularity. That’s a bad sign that democracy itself is under attack. (IBD)

So the government has less money coming in, because private wages pay taxes with their own money, unlike a government person.
Less than half of the people in this country pay taxes at all.
The Government unions, which make a majority of Union membership in this country, are used as Alinsky-inspired thugs.
The Private sector is demonized and intimidated.
The American People who objected are “racists”, “terrorists”,”teabaggers”,”nazis”, “heartless”,”cruel”,”mean” et al.
Oh, and Congressmen want to bail out the Unions, yet again!
That’s what the Stimulus last year was all about.
But now the Unions’ unsustainable pensions (you know the ones where you can retire at 50 and make more money in retirement than you did working!) are failing so the Democrats have to bail them out, with our money.
From that dwindling pot of non-government incestuous money.
Meanwhile, 8 Million jobs evaporated under Obama.
Medicare is bankrupt.
Social Security is bankrupt.
But yet, Democrats pass the largest entitlement in a generation, The Health Care bill.
Fascinating…
But The Unions get stronger and stronger.
Union are very zealously Democrats.
Funny That. :(
A Democratic senator (Sen. Bob Casey D-PA,reportedly) is introducing legislation for a bailout of troubled union pension funds.  If passed, the bill could put another $165 billion in liabilities on the shoulders of American taxpayers.
The bill, which would put the Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation behind struggling pensions for union workers, is being introduced by Senator Bob Casey, (D-Pa.), who says it will save jobs and help people.
As FOX Business Network’s Gerri Willis reported Monday, these pensions are in bad shape; as of 2006, well before the market dropped and recession began, only 6% of these funds were doing well.
Although right now taxpayers could possibly be on the hook for $165 billion, the liability could essentially be unlimited because these pensions have to be paid out until the workers die.
It’s hard to say at the moment what the chances are that the bill will pass. A hearing is scheduled Thursday, which will give the public a sense of where political leaders sit on the topic, said Willis.
Just last week President Obama said there would be no more bailouts.

So that’s why we also have a bailout for the National Education Association- The Teacher’s Union:
Yet another example of public sector employee union smash and grab, at a time when private sector workers are desperate for jobs:
The Obama administration on Thursday threw its support behind a $23 billion measure intended to avert large-scale teacher layoffs, urging Congress to include the effort in a spending bill lawmakers are drafting to fund wartime costs and other urgent needs.
“We are gravely concerned that ongoing state and local budget challenges are threatening hundreds of thousands of teacher jobs for the upcoming school year,” Education Secretary Arne Duncan wrote in a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.).
Duncan added: “These budget cuts would also undermine the groundbreaking reform efforts under way in states and districts all across the country.”
What’s particularly galling about this is that a huge chunk of the stimulus is already devoted to education funding. In particular, the $53.6 billion State Fiscal Stabilization Fund, included $39.5 billion for local school districts to prevent teacher layoffs and program cuts. Further, it’s notortiously difficult to fire incompetent teachers, thanks to union strictures. Los Angeles Unified School District spent $3.5 million just to fire seven bad teachers out of over 33,000 on the payroll. And we’re supposed to prop them up?
And there’s talk about eliminating Summer School in many places!
And in the UK, they are some schools to provide 3 meals a day!
But we have to give the NEA a bailout!
So no more bailouts, unless it’s a Union, because they are big Democrats.
So we will bail out Unions, But demonize private business as “greedy”
No wonder Liberals are always going on about Illegal Aliens who pay taxes, because they themselves don’t! :(
Liberals complain about “greedy” corporations, but they themselves are very “greedy” with everyone else’s money. :(
The world is truly upside down and bass ackwards.
And the Liberals want it that way.
We are from the Government and we are here to help you. :(

The Constitution

Writing in Salon.com, Gabriel Winant (a very Leftist columnist) complains of conservatives’ “weird fetishism for the Constitution.” ‘Nuff said.
US Constitution, Article II, Section 1
Before he enter on the execution of his office, he shall take the following oath or affirmation: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
VP: I, (name), do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.
Well, so much for that… :(
Chinese proverb “May you live in interesting times.” (sometimes referred to as a curse).
“Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.” –Benjamin Franklin
The constitution includes language to imply an expectation for the government’s incapacity to indefinitely respect the inalienable rights of it people and establishes that the ultimate power for the government reside in the people and not a monarchy, president, or congress.   It should not surprise us that our politicians have done exactly what our founders expected them to; allow power to corrupt.  This, after all, is a human characteristic that has been fully recognized and suitably acknowledged for all of recorded human history.   It should surprise us that the very people whose rights have been infringed upon represent the specific group who has enabled these politicians, sworn to “preserve, protect and defend” the constitution, to iteratively abolish their rights.   Indeed, it is the less fortunate, struggling, and working man; attracted to the appeal of big government and frightened by the complexities of our every-changing society, that is most willing to sacrifice constitutional rights in exchange for hollow promises of greater  security.  Sadly, it is this group who would most benefit from the very constitutional rights they are convinced to sacrifice, with little in return.(Scott Mitchell)
The End justifies the Means.
The End is Absolute power.
And absolute power corrupts absolutely.
So it’s crunch time. 5 months to the election.
Gotta get it done now.
The candy store is being foreclosed on.
And We the People will be stuck with the bill. :(
